The Howlands pancake dog mascot receives a Shrove Tuesday offering from local gym owner, and guess what, it’s a pancake!

Sam Cullingworth, owner of The Muscle Pit gym in Dewsbury, visited Howlands on Shrove Tuesday to present the Centre’s Pancake Dog.

For those of you who don’t know, our Pancake Dog can be seen perched right on the roof of the building and it is alleged to jump down for his pancake when the bell is rung on Shrove Tuesday.

We didn’t see the dog come down for his pancake! But we certainly enjoyed our pancakes.
